Jennifer's Body 2009

Horse-hide interior. Huge glass roof. Carbon-fiber fenders. Electrically operated scissor doors. Even if you forget about the voluptuously resculpted sheetmetal, it's clear this isn't a typical Mustang.
Reinterpreted by Giorgetto Giugaro, his son Fabrizio, and the rest of the highly skilled designers at the famed Giugaro design works in Turin, this 'Stang represents an impressive blend of American muscle and Italian design. To create the car's unique look, Giugaro pulled the body panels in as tight as they could go, reduced the rear overhang, and widened the car by 1.2 inches in the front and 3.1 inches at the back. The result is a beautiful fastback that fills our heads with images of early-'70s Boss Mustangs.
The Giugaro Mustang has been given a thorough mechanical workover, too. The 4.6-liter V-8 now features an intercooled, twin-screw supercharger plus Ford GT fuel injectors. Taken with increased intake and exhaust flow, the changes bump output to an estimated 500 hp. To improve handling, Ford Racing donated new dampers, springs, and antiroll bars, and the concept rides about an inch and a half lower than a production Mustang GT.
For the 2010 model of the Mustang, Ford has largely ignored the cars engine bay. However that will probably change for the 2011 model with details of the new powertrain hitting the web.
The Mustang will be powered by the Fords 3.7L V6 for the 2011 model year. The engine will churn out 315 horsepower for the Mustang, that’s 105 horsepower more over the current V6-powered Mustang and an 11 horsepower advantage of the Chevrolet Camaro V6.
A 5.0L V8 motor will be joining the Mustang line up for 2011, it will called the ‘Coyote’. The new engine will be used in the Mustang GT model and will be come with a six speed manual.
According to Ford the 2011 Mustang GT reportedly finished the Michigans GingerMan Raceway tied with the current BMW M3, even with a 200 pound weight difference.
Other possible changes to the Mustang line for 2011 will be an all aluminum block for the GT500 model.
